Titop Island Halong Bay

Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau Port – Ha Long Bay – Luon Cave – Titop Island (Lunch, Dinner)

• 08:15 – 08:45: The vehicle picks up tourists in Hanoi’s Old Quarter area and travels along the new highway to Ha Long.
• 11:30: Arrive at the cruise ship waiting area at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port to rest and complete check-in procedures.
• 12:00: Welcome guests aboard the Pelican Classic cruise ship . Enjoy a welcome drink and listen to a brief introduction from the ship’s manager about safety regulations and the itinerary before checking into your cabins.
• 13:00: Enjoy a sumptuous Asian-European buffet lunch at the restaurant while the ship sets sail, venturing deeper into the natural wonder of Ha Long Bay.
• 15:00: Explore Luon Cave . Visitors can choose to kayak themselves or ride in a small boat paddled by locals, navigating through the natural cave arch to reach a tranquil, secluded lagoon.
• 4:00 PM: Conquer Titop Island . Visitors can climb approximately 400 stone steps to the observation deck at the summit to admire the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay from above, or freely swim and relax on the fine white sand beach at the foot of the island.
• 17:30: Return to the cruise ship to relax. Go up to the upper deck to watch the sunset over the bay and islands, participate in the Happy Hour program (discounted drinks) at the bar, and join a cooking class to prepare traditional spring rolls.

• 09:30: Return to the cruise ship to check out and settle any personal expenses at the reception desk.
• 10:30: Enjoy an early lunch (Brunch) at the restaurant while the cruise ship leisurely makes its way back to the harbor.
• 11:30: The cruise ship docks at Tuan Chau Port . A vehicle will pick up guests and depart for Hanoi.

What is the best time of year to take  a Pelican Classic Cruise?

1. Autumn (September – November): The MOST BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING scenery.

This is considered the “golden time” to experience an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. 

• Weather: Bright, sunny but not stifling, clear blue sky, cool breeze, and a very calm bay.
• Experience: Perfectly suited for cave exploration or kayaking. With fewer domestic tourists, the bay becomes peaceful and romantic, ideal for couples or families on vacation

2. Spring (March – April): Warm, humid weather, ideal.

The weather during this transitional period between winter and spring is incredibly pleasant.

• Weather: The weather is starting to warm up, with gentle sunshine and little rain.
• Experience: The bay’s scenery is pristine at this time, with clear blue water. This is a great time to climb to the summit of Ti Top Island to admire the panoramic view of the heritage site without worrying about getting exhausted from the intense sun.

3. Summer (May – June): Peak season for water activities

If you love swimming and don’t mind the intense summer sun, then this is the number one choice.

• Weather: Sunny, clear skies, warm seawater.
• Experience: Enjoy a relaxing swim at Ti Top Beach or freely kayak through Luon Cave.
• Note: It is advisable to avoid July and August as this is the rainy and stormy season in the North, and cruises may be unexpectedly canceled due to sea closures imposed by the Port Authority for safety reasons.

4. Winter (December – February of the following year): A magical experience (Western tourist season)

This season possesses a unique, picturesque beauty.

• Weather: Cool to very cold (temperatures from 15 – 20°C), with light fog often covering the limestone mountain peaks in the early morning.
• Experience: There were very few Vietnamese passengers, so the ship was extremely quiet. Sitting on the breezy sundeck, sipping a hot cup of tea or a cocktail in the late afternoon amidst the misty haze was a truly Western-style vacation experience. However, the sea was quite cold, so swimming was not possible.
