Important Planning Note: With an afternoon arrival and afternoon departure, the tour has approximately five full sightseeing days. The itinerary therefore prioritises the main experiences and excludes some optional attractions to avoid an excessively rushed journey.

• Continue to Ta Xua, a remote mountain destination famous for its dramatic ridges and sea-of-clouds views. Experience an early-morning visit to the Dinosaur Spine ridge before travelling south to Ninh Binh.
• In Ninh Binh, enjoy a scenic boat journey through Trang An’s limestone landscape and natural caves, followed by panoramic views from Mua Cave’s Dragon Peak.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 | Arrival in Hanoi – Hotel Transfer

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in the afternoon. Meet your private driver and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi.

After check-in, enjoy some time to relax following your international flight.

Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, you may take a gentle walk around the hotel area.

Overnight: Hanoi

DAY 2 | Hanoi – Transfer to Sapa

After breakfast, depart Hanoi by private vehicle for Sapa.

Enjoy the changing landscapes of Northern Vietnam along the journey, with suitable rest stops along the way.

Upon arrival in Sapa, check in to your hotel and relax. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short walk around Sapa town.

DAY 3 | Fansipan Mountain – O Quy Ho Pass – Sapa

After breakfast, visit the Fansipan cable car station and ascend towards Mount Fansipan, Vietnam’s highest mountain.

Explore the summit area and enjoy panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, subject to weather conditions, visibility and cable car operations.

In the afternoon, travel along the spectacular O Quy Ho Pass and stop at suitable viewpoints to admire the mountain scenery.

If time and operating conditions permit, Rong May Glass Bridge may be included as an optional visit. Otherwise, prioritise the mountain viewpoints and return to Sapa for a relaxed evening.

DAY 4 | Sapa – Ta Xua Mountain Adventure

After an early breakfast, check out and depart Sapa for Ta Xua by private vehicle.

This is a substantial mountain transfer, so the day will primarily be dedicated to travelling, with suitable rest stops and pre-arranged Halal meals.

If the transfer schedule permits, a short visit to Cat Cat Village or Love Waterfall may be considered before departure. However, this is optional and should not compromise a safe and timely arrival in Ta Xua.

Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and prepare for the following morning’s cloud-hunting experience.

DAY 5 | Ta Xua Sunrise – Dinosaur Spine – Transfer to Ninh Binh

Start early in the morning and travel to a suitable viewpoint to experience sunrise and search for Ta Xua’s famous sea of clouds.

Continue to the Dinosaur Spine ridge for a scenic walk and spectacular views of the surrounding valleys.

A dedicated high-altitude mossy-forest trek may be considered only if the route, trail conditions, duration and local guide arrangements have been confirmed in advance. Given the long onward journey, an extended trek is not recommended on this day.

After the morning excursion, return for breakfast, check out and depart for Ninh Binh.

This is another long-distance transfer day. Rest stops and suitable Halal meals will be arranged along the route.

Arrive in Ninh Binh in the evening, check in to your hotel and rest.

DAY 6 | Trang An Boat Trip – Mua Cave Dragon Peak

After breakfast, visit Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its limestone mountains, waterways and natural caves.

Enjoy a traditional boat trip through the spectacular landscape, passing through natural water caves and along peaceful rivers. Trang An Route 2 will be requested, subject to the official operating arrangements on the day.

After lunch, continue to Mua Cave and climb the stone steps to Dragon Peak for panoramic views over the limestone mountains and surrounding countryside.

The climb involves numerous steps and may be physically demanding.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Overnight: Ninh Binh

DAY 7 | Ninh Binh – Hanoi – Departure

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart Ninh Binh for Noi Bai International Airport.

The transfer will be scheduled with a suitable traffic buffer to protect your afternoon international departure.

As your flight departs in the afternoon, no additional sightseeing is recommended unless the confirmed flight time and transfer arrangements provide sufficient flexibility.

Accommodation will be selected according to your preferred standard, availability and location. Options in Ta Xua may be more limited than in Sapa or Ninh Binh, so the final selection should be confirmed before booking.

• As suitable Halal restaurants may be limited or unavailable in Ta Xua, Smile Travel will investigate advance meal arrangements through suitable suppliers, pre-arranged catering or food supplies transported from a verified source.
• Before confirmation, we will clarify your requirements regarding food sourcing, preparation, possible cross-contamination and Halal certification.
• We will not assume that vegetarian meals or seafood automatically satisfy strict Halal requirements.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTES

• Cloud hunting: Sunrise and sea-of-cloud experiences depend on weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
• Trekking: The Dinosaur Spine walk and a dedicated mossy-forest trek are different activities. The exact route and feasibility must be confirmed.
• Long-distance travel: Sapa to Ta Xua and Ta Xua to Ninh Binh require substantial driving time. The final route and timings must be confirmed with the transport operator.
• Optional visits: Rong May Glass Bridge, Cat Cat Village and Love Waterfall are subject to the final transfer schedule and available time.
• Excluded from the core itinerary: Thien Ha Galaxy Cave and Hoa Lu Ancient Capital are not included in the main sightseeing plan due to time constraints. They may be considered only if the route is adjusted.
• Departure: The final transfer from Ninh Binh to Noi Bai Airport will be planned around the confirmed afternoon flight.
• Halal arrangements: Suitable meals must be confirmed before the tour booking is finalised.
