Detailed Hanoi Itinerary 1 Day

7.30 – 7h45 am: Smile Travel‘s car and tour guide will welcome you at the meeting point, starting the Hanoi tour 1 day. 

The first destination of the 1 day Hanoi tour is Tran Quoc pagoda. This is the oldest temple in Hanoi located on the banks of West Lake. 

You get in the car and continue the Hanoi day tour at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. This is the last resting place of the beloved leader of the Vietnamese nation. After that, you visited Uncle Ho’s stilt house, where Uncle Ho used to live and work from 1958 to 1969. 

Note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is only open in the morning of the week’s days (except for Monday and Friday). 

After visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, you will walk to the next stop – One Pillar Pagoda. This is a temple with a unique architecture, looking like a lotus sprouting in the middle of the lake. 

Next, you will visit the Museum of Ethnology, where to store and display many cultural artifacts of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. 

Note: Museum of Ethnology will close on Monday. At this time, you will visit the Vietnam Women’s Museum. 

12:00 – 12:30: Rest and lunch at a restaurant in the Old Quarter. 

Visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, built from the Ly Dynasty. At the final destination of Hanoi tour 1 day, you can choose one of the following two locations: 

• Option 1: Hoa Lo prison was built by French colonialists in 1886. This was a place where many great revolutionaries of Vietnam during the Indochina War and the US pilot during the Vietnam War.
