In Smile Travel‘s Northern Vietnam tour 6 days, you will have the opportunity to explore the three most famous destinations of Northern Vietnam, Hanoi, Sapa and Ha Long Bay. In Hanoi, you will participate in an Electric Cart tour of about 30-45 minutes through the streets and the destinations around Dong Xuan Market and Hoan Kiem Lake. After that, you will have a 2-day long trip in Sapa to hike around the villages and learn about the life and culture of the people here. Finally, the Northern Vietnam tour 6 days will end in Ha Long Bay, where you will join a high -class and relaxing boat tour in the spectacular nature.
Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Hanoi City Tour (L/D)
Smile Travel’s tour guide and car will welcome you at Noi Bai International Airport (Terminal Gate – Meeting point at column 10). Then, you get in the car to move to the city center and check in at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.
⚠️ Note: The standard check-in time of the hotel starts at 14:00. The early check-in can be applied to available hotel rooms or according to the hotel’s own decision.
➤ After lunch, you will join an electric car tour in Hanoi Old Quarter and French Quarter.

ELECTRIC CART TOUR (30 – 45 MINUTES) ~ HANOI OLD QUARTER (36 ANCIENT STREETS)
Visitors ride in the center of Hanoi with a route about 7km and 10 stations. In particular, Dinh Tien Hoang Street is the first stop, which is also the last stop. With this journey, you will go through 28 commercial streets, 13 old streets, 8 historic destinations, 3 temples and tourist destinations around Hoan Kiem Lake and Dong Xuan Market. The old town is the heart of Hanoi, which has a history of more than 2000 years and includes 36 streets. The streets are named after the craft item sold in the past. Up to now, this place still retains the architectural and cultural features of the ancient Hanoi, and many historical and religious relics.

Day 2: Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B/L/D)
7:00: Our car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi and depart for Sapa, starting the second day in the Northern Vietnam tour 6 days.
11:00: Arrive at Lao Cai city, the car will stop to take a break before moving to Sapa.
12:30: Coming to Sapa, you will check-in hotel and enjoy lunch including special Vietnamese dishes in Sapa.
14:30: You get in the car and drive to the gate of Cat Cat village at the foot of Hoang Lien Son mountain and is the place to live of the Black Hmong people. Smile Travel’s local guidance will lead you to walk around to learn about the life of the local day. After that, you will walk to the bottom of the valley to the waterfall where the French built a hydroelectric plant. You will stop to take photos with the bridge and waterfall before boarding the bus to return to Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van Village – Hanoi (B/L/D)
You have breakfast at the hotel before driving to Y Linh Ho. After that, you will hike through the terraced fields and along the Muong Hoa stream to Lao Chai – the village of Hmong Black to admire the spectacular natural scenery of Hoang Lien Son mountain.
Next, you will go to Ta Van village – the homeland of the Dzay ethnic people in Sapa. Smile Travel’s bus will welcome you at Ta Van Bridge to return to Sapa. Here, you will have lunch at local restaurant and have a time to relax, entertain and shop alone before returning to Hanoi.

15:00: You get in the car and drive back to Hanoi.
20:00: Arrive in Hanoi, you will check in hotel and rest before starting the fourth day of the Northern Vietnam tour 6 days.

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Halong Bay Overnight on Cruise (B/L/D)
7:30: After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will get in the car to move to the pier in Ha Long Bay, where you will join a high-class cruise tour. After boarding, you will enjoy the drink, check-in and listen to the manager’s instructions.
Next, you will have lunch with local dishes made from seafood, while the cruise is moving on the bay of heritage, where thousands of limestone islands rise from the water. After lunch, you take a short trek to a nearby summit to admire the panoramic view of Halong Bay from Titop Island. This is the time for you to relax, by swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the deck.

Day 5: Halong Bay – Sung Sot Cave – Hanoi (B/L/D)
6:30: You will greet the morning on the cruise with a dramatic sunrise view on the bay and the Tai Chi lesson on the deck. Next, you will enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before starting the fifth day on the Northern Vietnam tour 6 days. The cruise will stop at Sung Sot cave, where there are natural stalactites hanging on the ceiling high. After visiting and taking photos in the cave, you will return to the train and enjoy lunch with typical Vietnamese dishes. This is also the time when the yacht returns to the port for tourists to get in the car and return to the hotel in Hanoi.
