Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome guests at Noi Bai International Airport (New Terminal Gate 02 (Meeting point at Column 10)) then transfer to the city for hotel check in. However, hotel standard check in time starts from 14:00 hours, early check-in to hotel rooms is subject to room availability or at the hotel’s own discretion.

OPTION: HANOI WALKING TOUR (25 USD/PAX)

At 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM, our guide will welcome you at your hotel then start the walking tour to discover the Old and French Quarter.

Nowadays, the villages were turned to streets and many of them didn’t feature the business as it names anymore. But it’s worth your time to wander along the old streets and you surely gain many exciting experiences. Despite the damages that the Vietnam War left in Hanoi, the Old Quarter still retained much of the original traits that interest tourists, especially those with architectural passion. These houses are neither tall buildings as people normally see in cities nor stilt houses on lines of poles, which were popular in Vietnam’s mountainous regions these days. They are also called “tubular houses” which are short and narrow but have great length.

After walking around and enjoying some interesting places in the Old Quarter, you will be guided to Hoan Kiem Lake area where you can pay a visit to Ngoc Son temple and start to explore the French Quarter. Although the French colonial period ended a long time ago, much of French arts and Deco style are still imprinted in this quarter creating a unique, magnetic and charming Hanoi with its elegance and nobility.

Tour will end around 12.30 or 5.30 PM.

08:00 Leave Hanoi Capital for Ninh Binh, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. About 10:00 arrive Hoa Lu, visit the the two temples of King Dinh and King Le in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu). King Dinh Tien Hoang chose this mountain location as the water systems fed from the mountains were perfect for both agriculture and defense. Enjoy the sight of palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions built by different dynasties and visit the Dinh and Le Temples, the two remaining architectures of Hoa Lu. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch you will get on bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way, you also have chance to see the paddy field if you visit Tam Coc in April or September.

Then visit Bich Dong Pagoda comprising three pagodas located at different levels on a green mountain and the setting of the French film ‘Indochina’

Get back to Hanoi about 17:30

07:30 Pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the pier to board a superior cruise where welcome drinks await. After check– in, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the magical bay where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the water like dragon teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay. Swim on a quiet beach, or sunbathe on the deck. In the afternoon, back on board for the sunset view and have a chance to enjoy cooking class at restaurant then enjoy the meal you have prepared. After dinner time you are free for some activities: Squid fishing, karaoke…

Wake up call to admire the dramatic sunrise on the bay. Relax with a tea or coffee cup before departing to the splendid Sung Sot Cave where stalactites hanging from the high ceiling. Enjoy lunch with Vietnamese cuisine onboard while cruising back to harbor for a transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi.

8.00: We’ll pick you up from your hotel take you to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, Uncle Ho – and President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived off and on from 1958 to 1969.

9.30: You’ll visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which is actually a group of structures that collectively make up a pagoda built over the water in the middle of a square lake.

After that, you’ll have a chance to explore the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of West Lake. From there, it’s onto the Temple of literature, which was Viet Nam’s first university and is dedicated to Confucius.

12.30: You have lunch at the restaurant in the Old Quarter. Afterward, you’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake – the heart and soul of Hanoi. Halal food on request for a private tour.

OPTION 1: TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUNDAY

You’ll stop in at MUSEUM OF ETHNOLOGY. This superb museum showcases the depth of Vietnamese cultural diversity with an astounding collection of 15,000 artifacts gathered from throughout Vietnam. Maps, displays and dioramas are labeled in Vietnamese, French and English. Displays portray a typical village market, the making of comical hats and a Tay shamanic ceremony; videos show the real thing. You can also check out a traditional Black Thai house reconstructed in the museum. There’s also a center for research and conservation where scientists from all over the world study traditional Vietnamese cultures.

OPTION 2: MONDAY

Depart for Bat Trang ceramic village which is about 20 km away from Ha Noi, this is pottery village with a half- millenary historic development.

15.30 – 16.00: Take the car comes back to your hotel.
