Pu Luong Natural Reserve Introducing:

The Pu Luong limestone landscape is an area of outstanding beauty, cultural interest and high biodiversity value stretching from Mai Chau in the North to West to Cuc Phuong national park in the South East. It is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery.

Recently, Pu Luong becomes a great destination for a few day trips from Hanoi. Trekking in the forest and along rice paddy fields, cycling through the reserve and visit many beautiful small villages are among the activities travelers like. Pu Luong is among a few “off the beaten path” places near Hanoi that receives recommendations from explorers recently.

The best time to visit Pu Luong is during rice harvest season, from September to November or February until May. This time, the plantation is lush and the weather is pleasant. Pu Luong can be best accessed either from Mai Chau or Ninh Binh

DETAILS ITINERARY:

Meals Day 1

Hanoi – Pu Luong Nature Reserve- Black Thai Minorities (Meals: L, D) 200km

Morning:

07:30 Pick-up at your hotel and depart to go to Pu Luong Nature Reserve.

09:00 a short break in Luong Son

11:00 Visit a local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority to learn about their daily life and customs. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass (One of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam).

Afternoon:

13:00 Arrive in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Have lunch at local restaurant. And check-in

14:30 – 17:30 start to trek following the small roads through the terraced rice fields and cross the stream to visit remote rural villages of Black Thai Minorities to learn about the local people in Pu Luong.

Evening: 19:00 Have a dinner and enjoy some local rice wine with the family.

Meals Day 2

Visiting Thai Village-Chieng Lau- Yen- Bamboo rafting on Cham Stream – Hanoi (Meals: B, L)200km

Morning:

07:30 Have a breakfast and enjoy the new day with nice views.

09:00 Board the van to the starting point. Following the small road through the terraced rice and sugar cane fields, cross the Hanging Bridges to visit other remote rural villages of Thai Ethnic. Visit the Thai’s traditional ancient house to learn more about the daily life of the local people. Stop at the giant waterwheels, ducks farm to learn about the agriculture before getting on the Bamboo Raft for a relaxing cruise on Cham stream.

12:30 Pick up the van to go back to the lodge, check out.

13:00 Have lunch and have free time to relax or walk around the village before boarding the Limousine bus to go back to Hanoi at 14:30.

17:00 a short break on the halfway.

19:30 Arrive in Hanoi and drop you at your hotel in Hanoi.
