Mai Chau Introducing:

Mai Chau is located in Hoa Binh province, about 150 km west of Hanoi. It lies only 150 m above sea level. Mai Chau attracts many visitors each year. Mai Chau district has about 50,000 inhabitants, including seven ethnic minority groups – the White Thai, Hmong, Zao, Muong, Tay, Hoa a Viet.

The best time to visit Mai Chau is between October and April, as outside of these times Mai Chau can become unbearably hot, particular in June through to August, and if you’re staying in a homestay you’ll find a little respite from the heat as electricity doesn’t come on until the evening. That said, some good deals can be had on the pricier hotel options out of season.

10:00 – Short break at the half and then keep going to visit Mai Chau

11:30-12:00 – Scenic photo stop of Mai Chau valley/arrive in Mai Chau

12:15 – Enjoy a Traditional lunch in a local village

13:00-15:00 – Bicycle ride with a tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages. Leave Mai Chau

18:30-19:00 – Drop you off at your hotel. Mai Chau Eco Tour ends.
