1. Giảng cafe: 39 Nguyen Huu Huan, Hoan Kiem
A lot of people must have heard about this place. Giảng cafe is the place that created the famous egg coffee and is also one of the oldest coffee shops in Hanoi.
You should visit here if you want to experience the original egg coffee. However, the egg foam is delicious but the coffee itself is not actually impressive. And also keep in mind that this place is VERY crowded, so be prepared to wait.

2. Cộng cafe: 116 Cau Go, Hoan Kiem
This is also a famous coffee franchise in Vietnam for its signature vibe. This address has a beautiful view that looks straight up to Hoan Kiem Lake. The coffee was ok, not extremely impressive or something but it’s fun to try out.
3, C.O.C Legacy specialty coffee: 84 Hang Bac, Hoan Kiem
A hidden coffee shop in a narrow alley with an attractive sign which says “where Vietnamese coffee talks…”.
This place truly lives up to its slogan. It has many different coffee beans from all over Vietnam and is the only place with this collection. They only serve phin coffee but get creative with different techniques of brewing to create signature drinks that can’t be found anywhere else. The baristas know thoroughly about the beans and can also give suggestions about places to try out in Hanoi.
4, Phin bar by Refined: 43 Van Mieu, Dong Da
One of the pioneers in refining the Vietnamese Fine Robusta and the phin coffee.
The drinks are good. You can pay according to your likeness in a box. The design is quite impressive with the whole black concept although there are not many seats because it’s like a minibar. They also have another store near St. Joseph’s Cathedral.
