Only 35 kilometers away from the city center of Da Nang, it’s fairly easy to get to Bana Hills. There are three ways to get to Ba Na Hills:

• By Open bus: this option is much cheaper than taxi, costing only 120,000VND to 150,000VND for a two-way ticket and 100,000VND for a one-way ticket.
• By Motorbike: if you can drive a motorbike, why not rent one and start your day trip to this lovely complex. On Da Nang, it’s easy to rent a motorbike or scooter with a price from 80,000VND – 150,000VND per motorbike per day. Follow the road Ba Na – Suoi Mo which will take you all the way to Ba Na Hills ticket counter.
• By Taxi: this is the fastest option, hence the most expensive. Expect to pay from 350,000VND to 500,000VND per ride for the whole journey. Cost reduces when traveling with a group.

The cable car system at Ba Na Hills was completed in 2013 and holds several Guinness World Records, including the widest gap between stations and the greatest change in elevation. The views of Danang and the coast in the distance are spectacular.

One thing for sure, the architect of Ba Na Hills gets it. There’s nothing better than enjoying a warm, fragrant cup of tea in a chilly place. Lying on the highest part of the whole complex, Tru Vu Tea Corner is a dreamy hangout spot for tea enthusiasts. The house was built based on the traditional architecture of northern Vietnam, fused with few elements from Japanese culture like a square wooden table and Japanese sitting cushion. The view is exceptional as well. Just imagine sipping tea while looking out to the vintage French village laden with clouds with a magnificent mountain backdrop.

6. Taste wine at 100-year-old Debay Wine Cellar
Since you’re at the garden, do not forget to visit the 100-year old wine cellar – Debay Cellar, built by the French in 1923. The cellar was dug in 100 meters long, through Ba Na Mountain, to maintain a continuous temperature of 16 – 20 degrees Celsius. A special material was used in the creating of the cellar you might never hear about. It’s litsea cubeba resin, in Vietnamese, called ‘mang tang’ which can only be found in this area. Come to this Debay cellar, you can enjoy the finest wine in Da Nang, and even Vietnam.

7. Eat at the Kavkaz Restaurant
By now you’ve worked up an appetite. There are several excellent options available at Ba Na Hills, but we recommend you give chef Zakharov Roman Jurivich’s Kavkaz Restaurant a try. They serve Russian cuisine, featuring grilled lamb with unique seasonings. And, of course, they have vodka.

8. The Drop Tower
Go from stunning beauty to cavernous terror in the blink if an eye at the Drop Tower, the wildest ride at Ba Na Hills. At the top, riders can look out the glass dome and see as far as the clouds will allow. Then, without warning, you’re dropped 29 metres (95 feet) into a cave based on two Jules Verne novels: Journey to the Centre of the Earth (1864) and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870).
