Day 01: ARRIVAL PHNOM PENH (morning arrival before lunch)
Upon arrival at the international airport from Phnom Penh we transfer to hotel check-in, after check-in we will take an orientation walk and visit the Royal Palace. The Palace was opened in 1870 under King Norodom, and now contains the Royal Residence, the Throne Hall, the Silver Pagoda, and other buildings. The Silver Pagoda (Wat Preah Keo Morokat) is one of the city’s most visited sites and offers a display of priceless Buddhist and historical objects. The Pagoda draws its name with more than 5,000 silver tiles, which cover a floor in the temple. The building serves less as a functioning shrine, no monks currently reside here, than a repository of cultural treasures such as the famous Emerald Buddha and many other valuable statues, and continue to visit Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh’s namesake. Day 02: PHNOM PENH-CITY TOUR (B/-/-)
After breakfast at the hotel, start the visit to Koh Dach Island (Silk Island) by boat on the Mekong River to see the daily life of the villagers and weaving villages. We will continue our visit to the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia’s bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle. We spend the rest of time discovering Phnom Penh’s Psar Toul Tom Pong, known as the Russian Market, a great place to hunt for souvenirs, curios, overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh
Day 03: PHNOM PENH-SIEM REAP TOUR (B/-/-) (by Mekong Express Limousine Bus)
Breakfast at the hotel. Our guide and driver will transfer you to bus station for departure to Siem Reap, Upon arrival meet our guide and driver transfer to hotel check-in, after check-in, we will visit the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Last we will visit Wat Bo founded in the 18th century, a highly respected pagoda contains very unique wall paintings of the Reamker (Ramayana) that are said to be late 19th century. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Chars also called the “Old Market”, where anything and everything is for sale. Have dinner at the Indian restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 04: SIEM REAP ANGKOR TOUR (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Note: During the visit of the Bakan Tower of Angkor Wat Temple
– Visitors are required to wear proper attire, covering shoulders and knees (no shorts, miniskirt or short trousers).
– Visitors have to be in the queue and waiting to climb up the Bakan Tower of Angkor Wat
– Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up this tower.
– It will be closed on the Buddhist Sabbath Days, the Buddhist religious days (four days a month).
Day 05: SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel: You will reach the heart of the mangrove forests at the edge of the Tonle Sap Lake to the incredible village of Kompong Phluk piles. Kampong Phluk is a group of three villages of terraced houses built in the floodplain of Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. The villages are mainly Khmer and they have about 3000 inhabitants among them. A flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wild animals including crab-eating macaques. During the season when the lake is low, the village buildings seem to climb high on their 6-meter stilts exposed to the lack of water. Kampong Phluk sees relatively few foreign visitors and offers a closer look at the submerged forest and life on the lakeside, which is still not disturbed by tourism. Back to Siem Reap. Transfer to airport for flight departure
